Our Philosophy
At Little Hands Preschool, our philosophy is centred around belonging and inclusiveness. All children are welcome from every background, gender, ability, religion and ethnicity. We also work in conjunction with families and local support services to ensure children with additional needs get the necessary support. We always celebrate and embrace the diversity that makes communities stronger.
Building Trusting Relationships
We prioritise open and honest communication between educators, children, and families. Trusting relationships are achieved through our open-door policy, day-to-day interactions and social media group. The entire Little Hands Family is continually working together, ensuring the best outcomes for all children.
Ensuring Readiness Transition To School
We view children as capable and resourceful learners. We use the National Early Years Learning Framework to create a developmentally appropriate, engaging and fun program to keep kids involved and continually learning.
Our goal is to ensure that each and every child is ready to transition to school by providing them with a solid framework of curiosity and critical thinking.
Encouraging Safe Exploration And Learning
We believe that kids should spend time outside, engaged and excited about the natural world. Our outdoor environment supports children as they play, explore, make decisions and solve problems.
Prioritising Physical Activity And Healthy Eating
Physical activity and healthy eating are crucial for developing brains. We incorporate dancing, outdoor games and yoga to help kids build coordination and increase their physical confidence. We also have conversations with the children about healthy foods so they can learn to make smart choices and build long-term habits.
